Gulmarg is also an integral component of the golden triangle of tourism in Jammu & Kashmir and is visited specially by travelers keen to experience the world’s highest and Asia’s longest cable car, the Gulmarg Gondola. Khilanmarg: Khilanmarg is mere six kilometers away from Gulmarg and is just a small valley, that is often filled with a variety of flowers during summer. Ladakh: Ladakh barely requires any introduction at all as it’s already very well known for its Buddhist sites and trekking areas. The entire zone of Ladakh is broadly divided in two parts, first being Leh, the capital of Ladakh and the other being Kargil, the historical warzone of India. The Ladakh Art Palace is a popular spot of the region and must be visited by people looking to do some souvenir shopping. (Tip: Tibetan handicraft items can be easily found in the area.) Sanasar: This beautiful village of J&K is a perfect destination for camping, paragliding and other activities that are enjoyed by both the visitors and locals of the area. Sanasar is a year-round destination and one can visit the area anytime of the year. Patnitop, another hill station, is just 20 km away from Sanasar and is a must visit destination as well.
